My debug in window clearly shows that DBVis is stripping off Oracle SQL Hints from the query it executes.

Why would it do that?

Hi Robert,

Prior to DbVisualizer 8.0, Oracle hints were not recognized as "special" comments and therefore stripped off if the block comment delimiters were set to the default "/*" and "*/" values.

If you can, please upgrade to 8.0 to fix this. If not, you need to change the block comment delimiters to something else in Tool Properties, SQL Editor->Comments, e.g. use "/**" as the begin delimiter.

Best Regards,
Hans

change the block comment strings to '/* ' and '*/' Hints start with '/*+' so this makes enough differences to work.
