Hello,
I have DBVis 6.0.8 installed on my XP-SP2 and it works fine. Now I did a setup of 6.0.10 (without removing 6.0.8). Default JVM is 1.6.0-03-b05 (not the one delivered by Minq).

when starting DBVis 6.0.10, I get a messagebox :

An internal error occurred:

Exception: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: sun.nio.cs.StandardCharsets.aliasesFor(Ljava/lang/String;)[Ljava/lang/String;

The error may have affected the application state.
Please notify vendor.

Luc,

Very strange...

There is a similar post in our forum:

http://www.minq.se/forum/thread.jspa?threadID=1644

The fix we added as a result of that post don't reject the error properly. This will be fixed in the next version.

Still we have no idea why Java is reporting this error... or why it works with 6.0.8.

Hello,
I was able to solve the problem by using a pref_jre.cfg file referring to a Java 1.5 (as it appeared to be the case for the 6.0.8 deployment).

So 'it has to do something with JRE 1.6...

I consider this issue as closed.
