Cannot navigate in Open/Save dialog (SQL Commander)

When I try to open a directory to open or save SQL, nothing (apparent) happens when I double click a directory name to navigate. I was trying to save; however, when I tried to open a second SQL Commander editor to try opening a file, I got the error below. The directory to which I was trying to navigate (AWR TY 2010 Validation) is actually on a server directory.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
An internal error occurred in:
java.lang.InternalError: Unable to bind C:\Users\540919\Desktop\AWR TY 2010 Validation.lnk to parent
The error may have affected the application state. Please notify vendor.

Hi,
First upgrade your Java version to the latest 1.6.0_21 version. Then try again.

Roger,
1.6.0_21 installed...
Didn't correct problem, though.

David,
Just to make sure the 1.6.0_21 version is used by DbVisualizer, check the Help->About window to verify.
If it doesn't say 1.6.0_21 then read the following how to point DbVisualizer to use that version:
http://www.dbvis.com/products/dbvis/doc/faq/#6.4

Roger,
Additional information:
When directory displays a folder icon, I can navigate.
When directory displays a folder icon as a shortcut, I cannot navigate.

David,
There seems to be a problem accessing folders via a shortcut in Java.
Here is a bug report that seem to match quite well:
http://bugs.sun.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=6707208
We will look into whether we can workaround this until Oracle fixes it in Java.
Best Regards
Roger

Interesting...
In Windows Explorer, the icons do not display as shortcuts. Why do they in the Dbvis opern/save dialog?

Good question. The file management user interface is a standard component in Java.
I have tried reproducing this on Vista and Windows 7 but it works fine opening folders on both local and remote file systems (via shortcut).
For me shortcuts and non shortcuts files/folders are visualized properly.

Roger,
Well, my question hasn't REALLY been answered, but I found a work-a-round to my problem by mapping a new network drive to the next lower directory level (which was where I needed to go anyway). The folder icons don't have a shortcut flag and thus DbVisualizer can navigate.
Kind of strange that you don't have a problem in Vista and I do. I don't really understand why only some folder icons are displayed as shortcuts.
