Opening a Grid in an External Application

All grids in DbVisualizer offer options to open the grid data in an external spreadsheet tool (such as Excel) or a web browser using predefined settings (you can also export the grid to a number of formats with full control). The commands are available both on the right-click menu and on the toolbar and operate on either selected or all data:

  • Open as Spreadsheet: all data loaded into the grid (ignoring filters and sorting)
  • Open Selection as Spreadsheet: data in selected cells
  • Open in Web Browser: all data loaded into the grid (ignoring filters and sorting)
  • Open Selection in Web Browser: data in selected cells

When exporting to a spreadsheet, a separate sheet containing the SQL query used to generate the data will be included in the document.
